West Shore UU in Cleveland, Nov. 1-4, 2007. Don't miss this spiritual
experience. Since the first national Revival of the UUCF in New Orleans in 1999,
these gatherings have been shaping lives and our movement.
The next national Revival won't be until 2009, so plan to come to Cleveland.

Special Revival focus will be the Saturday event featuring three lectures on
the Apostle Paul by foremost biblical scholar John Dominic Crossan.

“The Historical Paul
Then & Now: An Appealing or Appalling Apostle?”
Saturday, November 3, 2007
    * Lecture 1: The World of Paul
    * Lecture 2: The Mission of Paul
    * Lecture 3: The Message of Paul

>From Dom Crossan:
“Paul has been called by many names, most of them nasty. He was an apostate
who betrayed Judaism, or he was an apostle who betrayed Jesus. He is not an
open and affirming theologian, so why bother to read him today? Some say, as
compliment or indictment (wrong either way), that he was the actual founder of
Christianity. On the one hand, 13 of the 27 books in the New Testament are
attributed to him, and his story dominates one other book, the Acts of the
Apostles. On the other hand, books about Paul could fill a library so why one
more on an overworked subject? What's new here ?” Come to Revival and find out!
One day registrations are available for Saturday only. But we will have
exciting and dynamic worship, small groups for connecting and exploring more
deeply, and other events throughout Revival.
