Thanks to Kim Beyer-Nelson for this weekly meditation based on the weekly
revised common lectionary. This week appropriately deals with The Great
Commission and Matthew 28, and in light of June 19 as Trinity Sunday, apt for
our presence to all the ethnos, cultures of the GA this week. here is an
excerpt:

"There is, for me, one phrase that leaps from this passage: “baptizing them
in the name…” This Name, this One that is the Father, Son and Holy Spirit
is the flashpoint of a deeper faith, where the disciples realize Tat Tvam
Asi…Thou Art That. A baptism is so much more than an anointing; it is the
rebirth into a different kind of consciousness...."

lectionary work for more on it and its history go to _www.commontexts.org_
