Hi Tracie,
Bible Gateway is a good resource, though it does not have some of the
translations that are very well respected like the RSV/NRSV and the NAB
(the "Catholic" Bible.) The NRSV can be had via http://bible.oremus.org
and the New American Bible is over at
http://www.usccb.org/nab/bible/index.shtml or via www.iphonebible.org.
I think that having access to varied translations is great, to see how
people conceived the scripture from their place in the world. What I
think is at issue is what form the class would take: a BBS? forum? Live
conference class? Lectionary? Start at Genesis? etc.
I will look at what options we might be able to offer via uuchristian.org.
Peace,
Gil
