[Uucf-bible] Left-wing Puritanism

I've just become acquainted with James Luther Adams myself. The lineage and
destiny of Puritanism is "liberal Christianity". From the seeds of Anne
Hutchinson through Emerson to the UCC of today, there is a proud progressive
tradition.
"Left-wing" like "right-wing" have a pejorative tone but I often look for a
spectrum when searching for Jesus and I must say I always find him on the
left. For example, welcoming, tolerating, genocidal. Jesus isn't in the
middle.
