Hi all.

First, please, prayers requested for all those working on Revival in New
York City coming up early next month (I don't want to start counting the days or
weeks yet :) ). And for all those who will be travelling there, and for all
those preparing to present special programs, and heck, for NYC and the host
church itself, Fourth Universalist Society...

Second, we are pleased to announce that the Communion Service Leader and
Preacher for the 9 a.m. service, Saturday Nov. 4, will be the Rev. Jeffrey Lane
Gould of Wilmslow, United Kingdom. Jeffrey is a Massachusetts native, whose
childhood was spent worshipping in the Congregational tradition of the United
Church of Christ. He initially trained for a career in the performing arts,
but eventually answered a call to the ordained ministry. He holds a degree in
Religious Studies from Brown University, and a degree in Theology from the
University of Oxford. Jeff was a staff member of the Church Divinity School
of the Pacific in Berkeley, California, and was commissioned by the Episcopal
Bishop of California to exercise a lay ministry in the San Francisco County
Jail and the San Francisco General Hospital. For the past 21 years, he has
served congregations of the General Assembly of Unitarian and Free Christian
Churches in the United Kingdom. This is his third attendance at a UUCF
"Revival".

Other worship will include: Opening Worship Thursday, Nov. 2 at 7 p.m. led
by Revival Coordinator Kim Hampton from St. Louis. The 9 a.m. Friday morning
Taize Service will be led by Chris Walton, editor of the UU World magazine,
graduate of Harvard Divinity School, blogger at _www.philocrites.com_
(http://www.philocrites.com) , who has travelled to and learned from the Taize
community in France. The Saturday Nov. 4 5 to 6:30 p.m. prayer and healing service is
still in planning stages. Closing Revival Circle will be Sunday morning Nov.
5 at 9:30 a.m. and then Closing Worship at 10:45 a.m. led by Rev. Rosemary
Bray McNatt of Fourth Universalist Society.

In between of course are the keynote lectures, on Friday "Resisting Good
News" by Jim Mulholland, co-author of books (If Grace Is True and If God is
Love) on universal salvation and others, and on Saturday "Liberal Theology Today:
Crisis and Renewal in Progressive Religion" by Dr. Gary Dorrien, one of the
leading theologians in the U.S. and author of the series on "The Making of
American Liberal Theology" and many others and professor at Union Theological
Seminary in NYC.

Also, the small groups that will focus on spiritual sharing and bible study,
and workshops by the Keynote Lecturers, as well as others on church history,
aspects of UU Christianity and living as a UU Christian in our churches,
Art, Sacred Poetry, and Music.

Registration for only $150 for full time adult, $50 full time for those
under 18 years old (which includes catered meal Friday evening), and one-day
registration either Friday or Saturday for $50.

You can register by email to _RevRonRobinson at aol.com_
(mailto:RevRonRobinson at aol.com) and send payment to the UUCF offices, P.O. Box 6702, Turley, OK
74156, OR indicate you will be paying upon arrival at the church where all
events will be held. We mainly need to know those planning to come for our own
planning purposes. So if the Spirit is moving within you to come, it is never
too late. And we are ending each day's activities earlier than usual to give
plenty of time for folks to have fellowship and enjoy NYC together.

Go to _www.uuchristian.org_ (http://www.uuchristian.org) for more on
Revival and the Keynote Lectures.

blessings,
Ron Robinson
