Hi all. Here is the information prepared by our local Revival folks in
Worcester to help with transportation questions. Please feel free to forward to
folks not in one of our online communities. Hope it is another way we can help
more people attend our Revival Experience, one of the ways we are helping
transform Unitarian Universalism, Christianity, and Unitarian Universalist
Christianity.

Public transport to Revival 2004
Logan Airport in Boston, Massachusetts.
Overview: Logan probably will have the most flight choices and best prices.
If you plan
to take public transportation, you will need to get from Logan to either
South Station or
Back Bay Station. You can take either a subway, or a bus. From South Station
to
Worcester, you can take either a commuter rail or a bus. Once in Worcester,
you can
walk from the commuter rail station to the church, but should take a cab from
the bus
station to the church.

Peter Pan Trailways

Peter Pan offers service throughout the eastern states. In Boston, their
terminal is at the
South Station.
You should plan on taking a taxi from the bus terminal in Worcester to the
church/hotel.
Greyhound

Greyhound offers service throughout North America. Also located at South
Station.

Commuter Rail

Commuter Rail (the Framingham/Worcester line) to Worcester departs from South
Station and Back Bay Station in Boston. Outbound trains leave South Station
on
Weekdays are 9:00 AM, 12:05 AM, 4:10 PM, 4:58 PM, 5:30 PM, 6:05 PM, 7:15 PM,
8:20 PM and 10:05 PM. (Back Bay Station departures about 5 minutes later.)
Cost is
$6.00 one-way, and 7:00 if ticket is purchased on the train.
Return trains to South Station, leave Worcester at 2:15 pm, 6:05 pm and 8:15
pm on
Saturday and Sunday.
Getting from Logan Airport to the Commuter Rail:
1. By Subway: From your terminal, take a Logan Shuttle bus #22, #33 or #55 to
the
Airport Subway Station. Get on the Inbound Blue Line. Get off at State Street
and transfer to the Orange Line going to Forest Hills. Get off at the Back
Bay
Station Stop.
2. Take a Commercial Bus: Six bus companies operate bus service from Logan
Airport to South Station. Check http://www.massport.com/ for information
about
those companies.
Walking directions from Union Station in Worcester to the church/hotel:
• Walking distance is a little less than a mile
• Exit Union Station onto Washington Square (traffic circle)
• Carefully cross the traffic circle and get onto Summer Street (directly
across from
Union Station). You will want to be on the left hand side of the street.
• Walk up Summer Street past Worcester Medical Center (on your left) to
Central Street
(the Post Office will be on your right).
• Make a left onto Central Street
• Follow Central Street to Main Street
• Cross Main Street and turn right.
• If you are going to the Crowne Plaza, recross Main Street after the
construction on your
right. If you are going to the church, stay on the left hand side of Main
Street. Both
locations will be ahead of you before you reach Lincoln Square.
