Rob, good questions. I tend to spend most of my time in the canonical
scriptures, but certainly feel free to gleam from the writings of other communities
that were moved to witness of Jesus; it is rather like the Bible being central
in my faith but I am moved as well by the stories of freedom found in other
religious scriptures, in stories of science, arts and philosophy, and people's
lives as well. I have a home but am not spiritually agoraphobic. At different
times in my life, maybe within a day !!, I will find different parts of the
Bible to be more meaningful to me than others, like certain friends I will turn
to for different reasons---I tend to think of it in those terms rather than
"validity." I haven't found any book of the Bible that hasn't moved me in some
way. blessings, Ron
