The Rev. Edna Bruner died on Sunday, August
3, 1997, at the age of 91.  Ms. Bruner served congregations in
Waterloo, IA; Canton, NY and Kennebunk, ME.  In addition, she served
the Universalist Church of America as a general field worker and as
Director of the Department of Education.  She also served the MA and
CT Universalist Conventions as a field worker.  Ms. Bruner was the
Associate Director of Education for the Council of Liberal Churches
(Unit. Univ.).  From 1968 to 1973 she served as Education Consultant
for the Department of Education at the UUA.

Ms. Bruner is survived by her sister-in-law, Joy Bruner.  Messages of
condolence may be sent to Mrs. Bruner, as follows:

At Edna Bruner's request, there will be no formal burial service.  A
memorial service is planned at some time in the future.  As soon as a
date is established, a notice will be sent.
