I just found out about a conference call tomorrow hosted by one of our
partner organizations, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights.   They
are strategizing about ways to pursue a pro-active agenda with the new
Congress.  See below.
 
 
 
The Call for Civil Rights 

A National Conference Call on the Civil Rights Agenda in the 110th
Congress with Senator Dick Durbin (D-IL), Assistant Majority Leader 

Get prepared. Get involved. Get active. 

On the dawn of a new Congress, a changing political climate, and a
critical point in our nation's history, the civil rights community has
the opportunity to pursue an exciting proactive agenda. On Thursday,
January 18 at 2 p.m. (ET), the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights
(LCCR) will host a national grassroots conference call to energize and
inform community leaders and civil rights activists from around the
country. We invite you to join us! 

RSVP now to receive important dial-in information and get in-the-know
for 2007! Once you have RSVP'd you will have an opportunity to submit a
question to Sen. Durbin and/or the other speakers. Your question may be
selected and answered on the call - or answered on a follow up online
webchat (details forthcoming)!
