All,

Please review the message below from CEO/author/speaker Theresa
Szczurek, a member of the UU Fellowship in Boulder, Colorado, about her
availability to speak or to lead workshops or forums at District events
or in congregations or cluster events in our District in conjunction
with her 2005 book tour. UUA Executive Vice President Kay Montgomery
has already accepted our invitation to present our keynote address at
this year's Annual Meeting. However, I have forwarded Dr. Szczurek's
message to our District Annual Meeting Planning Committee for
consideration as a workshop leader. You may contact Dr. Szczurek
directly to explore a visit to your congregation or let me know if
several congregations in any of our cluster areas within the District
(Indiana, Ohio-Kentucky, or Michigan) would like help in arranging a
cluster workshop with her.

Best regards,

Mary

Subject: Speaking at your District Conference

Dear Mary

I am a long-time UU, who is currently active in the Unitarian
Universalist Fellowship of Boulder, Colorado (and previously in the UUF
in Morristown, NJ.) I am writing to see if I can be of service to your
UU district, as I will be traveling with my book tour in 2005 and could,
as my schedule permits, do a keynote, workshop, and/or worship service
at the Heartland District conference or another one of your district or
congregational meetings. Who do I talk to about participating in this
way? Or what do you recommend as the next step in investigating this?

My presentations at the Mountain Desert District conference in October
2004 were very well received. See below for what my UU District
president has to say about my passionate work.

I know your membership would find value in my newest research/book
"Pursuit of Passionate Purpose: Success Strategies for a Rewarding
Personal and Business Life." Wisdom from 80 people from all walks of
life, including a number of UUs, are combined into a practical guide to
getting all that we want in life....

As Rev. William Sinkford says, UUs have a purpose of changing society.
Especially in these challenging economic and political times, we need to
be passionately empowered to take appropriate action. My work can help
our members in this quest. I know because I have used it successfully in
building a small non-profit into an endowed foundation, as an
entrepreneur in taking my company from $0 to $40 million in six years,
and in many other personal and professional pursuits.

Here's what one UU leader has to say about it:

"Anyone who has ever wondered how to reach a successful and balanced
life will find Theresa's story and suggestions invaluable. A mother's
spiritual heart is combined with a very successful record of education
and business experience to provide tools for all involved in profit and
nonprofit enterprises. I can only wish her book had been available 40
years ago when I was first looking for the balance between life and
work. She doesn't offer an easy solution, but she does offer a
realistic method for finding one."

There is a lot more information at my website:
www.PursuitOfPassionatePurpose.com

Or, perhaps you have other ideas of how I can be of service through
LifeSpan, offering forums or Sunday services to your key congregations,
or through other programs.

Thanks for any help you can provide here,
Theresa
