Heartlanders,

Is anyone doing the kind of family night programming in your
congregation that is described below in this inquiry from ministerial
intern Melissa Ziemer? If so, please let me know so that I can put her
in touch with you for some details. Thanks much.

Subject: a request for information

Hello,

My name is Melissa Ziemer and I am a ministerial intern at Unity Church
- Unitarian in St. Paul, MN. We are preparing to launch a "church
night" this spring and are hoping to gather some information from
congregations who have successfully launched this program initiative.
The program we have in mind will begin with a short,
multi-generational/family friendly worship service followed by a shared
meal and culminating in numerous opportunities to take classes, attend
meetings, do family projects around spiritual themes etc. We are
thinking about a once a week model over the course of the formal
church year.

Would you be able to point me to a mid-sized or larger congregation in
your district that has a similar program? We are in the research phase
and would love to talk with others who are doing this well.

Thanks,
Melissa Ziemer
