Subject: November 28, 2007 - SkypeCast "Continuing the Theological Dialogue"
Importance: High

Good afternoon,

This is a reminder that there will be an upcoming SkypeCast on November 28,
2007, entitled "Continuing the Theological Dialogue". Please see the
attached pdf for announcements regarding future SkypeCasts.

At General Assembly ‘07 a theological dialogue between a UU Minister and
Scholar, Rev. Paul Rasor, and the Bishop of the Transylvanian Unitarian
Church, Rev. Arpad Szabo, was held. It marked an important step forward for
grounding our U/U international engagement theologically. We’ll continue
and broaden this dialogue during this month’s SkypeCast.

Participants will include Rev. Derrick Parriat, Vice President of the
Unitarian Union of North East India and Rev. Nihal Attanayake, Chairman of
Faith and Action Department, UU Church of the Philippines

Presentations by Rev. Parriat and Rev. Attanayake will include responses to
the following questions:

What is the basic theological “grounding” of your church group?

Are there emerging theological issues for your church group?

What does your church group believe U/Uism shares internationally?

Presentations will be followed by a Q&A with all SkypeCast participants

-----

The SkypeCast will take place from 8:00 - 9:00pm Eastern Standard Time.

Follow this link to join the SkypeCast:

* You cannot join a SkypeCast before it’s scheduled time!

For more information on how to join, please visit:

-----

I’ve set it up so that you can start connecting at around 7:45pm EST. As
this is new to most of us, the extra 15 minutes will give us a chance to get
connected properly and orient ourselves with this software.

Prior to the evening’s SkypeCast, please be sure to download and install
Skype on your computer: http://www.skype.-com/

Be sure that you have microphone and audio capability; a headset is best,
but if you have speakers and a microphone (laptops have them automatically
built in, usually) then you’ll be all set.

If you get a chance, test it out sometime today before the discussion.

You will be receiving an evite from our Google calendar account as well,
shortly; please RSVP!

If you would like to be removed from this contact list, please send me a
note.

Thank you and best regards,

Nicole McConvery
