About Membership-matters	English (USA)
Issues around membership continue to take center stage in our congregations. The health and vitality of a congregation is largely dependent on the willingness and ability of members to reach out to seekers, to be welcoming to visitors, to lead path to membership, and to retain members by effectively closing the back door. Often, however, leaders in membership positions work in isolation or feel overwhelmed in their responsibilities. With the support of the Joseph Priestley District, we have created a support/information group, which we are calling Membership Matters, for Membership Professional and heads of membership committees in congregations in the Northern Tier of the District. The purpose of the group is to share common challenges and concerns as well as best practices. By sharing experiences and ideas, we believe that staff and lay leaders working in the area of membership will be armed with greater tools and resources to continue their important work. Using Membership-matters
To post a message to all the list members, send email to membership-matters@lists.uua.org. You can subscribe to the list, or change your existing subscription, in the sections below.
Subscribing to Membership-matters
Subscribe to Membership-matters by filling out the following form. You will be sent email requesting confirmation, to prevent others from gratuitously subscribing you. Once confirmation is received, your request will be held for approval by the list moderator. You will be notified of the moderator's decision by email. This is also a private list, which means that the list of members is not available to non-members. Your email address:   Your name (optional):   You may enter a privacy password below. This provides only mild security, but should prevent others from messing with your subscription. Do not use a valuable password as it will occasionally be emailed back to you in cleartext. If you choose not to enter a password, one will be automatically generated for you, and it will be sent to you once you've confirmed your subscription. You can always request a mail-back of your password when you edit your personal options. Once a month, your password will be emailed to you as a reminder.
